The girls and I enjoyed a wonderful day of mommy and me time at the Georgia State Fair a few weeks ago. There was a petting zoo with goats, rabbits, cows, llamas, and even alpaca. I have always enjoyed seeing animals in zoos and exhibits, but for some reason this time I felt sorry for the animals. They seemed to be well cared for, but their demeanor was sad. Maybe I was just being sensitive.
Lynn enjoyed feeding the animals. Thank God there was plenty of hand sanitizer to share! We feasted on corn dogs, fried oreos, shrimp, fries, fresh lemonade, Italian sausages, and so much more. Did someone say diet?
Unfortunately I didn’t get many pictures because the battery in my camera died. I was able to relive my childhood by sliding down the giant slide and riding my favorite ride the ferris wheel! The highlight of the day for all of us was found under the big top- the circus. There were tightrope walkers, clowns and plenty of laughs. The fair is an annual event, if you are in the area be sure to visit next year. I am sure you will enjoy!
